Recommended Grade Level: 9-12
Course Description:
Students who complete a course in Theatre Arts will find that it has contributed significantly to their
personal development. It will also make them aware of the close relationships of theatre to such areas as
the humanities, literature, composition, and oral communication. Theatre Arts, therefore, enlivens the
imagination, challenges the creative intellect and at the same time equips students with attitudes and skills
needed for social life and the world of work.

There are advanced and intermediate classes that students will audition for.
There is an organization named Thespian Society that is not required but highly recommended to those wishing to excel in theatre. There is a $40 one time fee to become a member.
If you get cast in a play, you are required to attend all after school rehearsals and must pay a production fee that will cover food, makeup, costume, and other miscellaneous costs. Students that already have materials such as makeup will not have to pay for those costs.
*Fees only applicable to those involved in after school productions. It is possible to be in theatre and have no costs.
