German 1:
Fundamentals of German offering the opportunity to develop listening, reading, speaking, and writing skills. Embedded are the three major modes of communication:
Various activities are regularly conducted in the language lab.
Resources include textbook and additional authentic printed and online materials.
Themes include greetings and salutations, family and telling time, free time activities, school, daily life (food, home, daily chores and routines), and celebrations.
Major assignments:
Prerequisite(s): No knowledge of German is required. If you already have good knowledge of German please talk to the teacher about the possibility of taking a placement exam for acceleration.

Prerequisite(s): 1 credit received for German 1.
Advanced German 2 provides opportunities to develop strong, college-ready skills for becoming critical thinkers, analyzing issues, and solving problems. In addition, this course would put these students on the right path toward the possibility of earning college credit in German 4 AP and passing the AP exam.
