Course Description: This course offers an introduction to the vast world of agriculture and is the gateway to the rest of the courses in the agriculture department. Agriculture is involved in every aspect of life, and this course is designed to open your eyes to the inner-workings of the agriculture industry and all involved. This course not only introduces you to the many topics of agriculture, but focuses on the skills needed to be successful. Topics Covered: FFA & Leadership, public speaking, general agriculture industry, breeds of livestock, horticulture, shop and ag mechanics, wildlife, natural resources, recordkeeping. Major Assignments: Correlate with topics covered. |
