Music Theory AP
Must be in a fine Arts performing class currently
Recommended Grade Level: 10-12
Course Description: Students in Music Theory AP (MTAP) learn how to analyze music, write music, understand chord functions and progressions, as well as improve on ear training. Requisites for this course are at least 4 years of study in a music discipline. This course should be taken concurrently with band, choir, and/or orchestra and is recommended for 11th and 12th graders. Students not meeting these requisites will need to meet with Mrs. Johnson before signing up for this elite course.
