Course Description: This course examines the inter-relatedness of human, scientific, and technological dimensions of livestock production. Students will analyze the nature of science, systems, and models to gather information and make predictions, decisions, and solve problems in animal science. Topics Covered: Livestock systems (anatomy and physiology), cellular biology, diseases and parasites, reproductive methods, evaluating livestock and their products, genetics, livestock nutrition, processing and marketing. Major Assignments: Agri-science Fair project, other assignments associated with covered topics . |
